It s the end of the road for a Brisbane dining institution. The Pearl Café, a well-regarded European-style bistro which established itself 14 years ago in a niche hospitality precinct in Woolloongabba, has shut the doors for good. Joint owners Andrew Watson and Laila Watson-Morovat, who only acquired the business in April last year, conveyed the bad news this week to shocked patrons via Instagram. No surprise that the pandemic was the major culprit but, sadly, the pair revealed they also couldn t access government help to see them through the tough times. Date Time Dangerous operation of vehicle chargesin Brisbane A 24-year-old man has been charged with multiple offences, including unlawful use of a motor vehicle and assault, after driving dangerously across Brisbane yesterday. Just before midday, a white BMW was allegedly stolen from a residence on Salubris Place at Moggill. A short time later, police observed the car travelling along Moggill Road at Brookfield where it allegedly drove off in a dangerous manner to avoid being intercepted. Around ten minutes later, the car was again observed travelling along Burbong Street at Chapel Hill when it allegedly crossed to the wrong side of the road to avoid being intercepted by police.

Kings Ridge Road Holmes reports that the county will have to pay $15,000 to CSX railroad to conduct a study for work on Mill Creek Road. Indiana Department of Transportation will provide 80 percent after the county pays CSX that amount. An application has been submitted to the Federal government for a bridge replacement and road realignment for Bridge #172 on Cement Plant Road.
