Southend roads to benefit from £5m repairs

The first roads and pavements set to benefit from increased investment into Southend highways have been announced. Resurfacing will take place on 30 roads and 31 pavements as part of the council’s £5million programme to make improvements in the area. Dartmouth-Hitchcock eases some COVID-19 restrictions Modified: 3/14/2021 6:13:11 PM LEBANON Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center is easing some of its pandemic-related restrictions on visitors at the Lebanon hospital and some of its clinics and facilities in the Upper Valley starting on Monday. Among the changes patients at DHMC who are COVID-19 negative can have one visitor at a time, and pediatric patients can have two visitors at a time. In addition, one visitor may accompany a person on an outpatient appointment, as needed. At the DHMC birthing pavilion, a partner/spouse can again be present during labor and delivery. For patients undergoing end-of-life care, as many as three visitors at a time will be allowed.

COVID-19: Kendal resident with COVID-19 dies Modified: 2/5/2021 9:50:46 PM HANOVER A resident of Kendal at Hanover died this week after testing positive for COVID-19, according to a spokesman for the senior living community. The resident, who had tested positive last month, also had other health conditions, Kendal spokesman Jeff Roosevelt said in an email. An obituary in Friday’s Valley News said Betty Breunig, who had moved to Kendal in 1996, died of complications from COVID-19 on Tuesday at age 93. The community, which is located off of Lyme Road, had no active cases as of Friday, Roosevelt said. The outbreak at Kendal has included a total of four residents and seven workers, according to a Thursday update from the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services.
