Vestal Drivers Should Prepare for New Traffic Signals The signals are temporary. They ll be used during an upcoming bridge replacement project. Town engineer Vernon Myers said the Washington Drive bridge over Fuller Hollow Creek is to be replaced over the next few months. (Photo: Bob Joseph/WNBF News) Traffic signals have been installed at Washington Drive intersections with Murray Hill Road and Lehigh Avenue. The Lehigh Avenue signals are located just south of a Binghamton University entrance. The signals are covered and not in operation yet. Myers said they ll initially be put in flashing mode to allow drivers to get acclimated to them. Then they ll be put into regular service to control traffic during the construction project.

76ers to give away 500 tickets as incentive for getting vaccinated By FOX 29 staff article PHILADELPHIA - The 76ers partnered with the City for Philadelphia and the Black Doctors Consortium to give away 500 free tickets as an incentive for getting vaccinated at two participating clinics Saturday.  The two Black Doctors Consortium clinics are located at the Deliverance Evangelistic Church (2100 W. Lehigh Avenue) or the Esperanza Community Vaccination Center (4261 N. 5th Street). People will get a ticket to Sunday’s home game against the Orlando Magic game while supplies last.  The tickets, in pods of two or four seats, will be available for reservation via code on a first-come, first-served basis. Codes will be distributed to any eligible to be vaccinated (including teens as young as 16) who receive either their first- or second-dose of any vaccine available at the two identified clinics.

She’d been in and out of the system for much of her life, but the issue of unaffordable bail and pretrial incarceration turned her onto activism. Gave out what she called the Probation Awards, a ceremony recognizing people “doing their best to do good, but living under constant threat of incarceration.”

Read / Add Comments Authorities in Essex County are seeking the public s help in locating two persons of interest in connection with the killing of a 63-year-old grandmother. Debra Derrick was shot on the front porch of a home on the 200 block of Lehigh Avenue in Newark, while celebrating her late twin sister around 8 p.m. on March 11, the Essex County Prosecutor s Office announced. Derrick who was with her grandchildren and other family members at the time of the incident later died of her injuries, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II, and Newark Public Safety Director Brian O’Hara said.
