Former Bay City Rollers frontman Les McKeown has died at the age of 65.
His family broke the news on Twitter, announcing that McKeown died suddenly at home on Tuesday. No cause of death was given.
McKeown was just a teenager when he joined the Bay City Rollers, singing on hits like Bye, Bye, Baby and Saturday Night .
He left the band in 1978 for a solo career, but rejoined in 2015 for a reunion tour and continued to perform as Les McKeown s Bay City Rollers through 2020.
I remember watching them on NBC on Saturday mornings as a kid. It was like a kids variety show.
