Man arrested in Lapeer County after fleeing deputies at 100 MPH, police say

ATTICA TOWNSHIP, MI An Attica man has been charged with fleeing and eluding after leading police on a chase reaching triple digits in Lapeer County, police said.
Deputies with the Lapeer County Sheriff’s Office conducting traffic enforcement with a stationary radar attempted a traffic stop around 12:15 a.m. Saturday, April 10, on a speeding vehicle at Bowers Road near Five Lakes Road in Attica Township, about 10 miles east of Lapeer.
A 2011 Chevy Malibu was headed 86 miles per hour east on Bowers Road, a 55 MPH speed zone. The vehicle allegedly failed to stop for deputies and increased its speed to approximately 100 MPH, according to a Lapeer County Sheriff’s Office news release.
