Commodore 64 can now be used as a cryptocurrency miner after a software developer wrote a code and shared it publicly.
The widely successful 8-bit home computer, which was launched in 1982, is powered by a 1 MHz processor and 64 KB RAM.
Mining Cryptocurrency using Commodore 64
According to Decrypt s Apr. 13 report, the software developer who wrote the code to make the Commodore 64 a dedicated cryptocurrency miner made it accessible on developer file-sharing platform GitHub.
Maciej Witkowiak, the software developer who wrote the code, said that the cryptocurrency miner software can make the Commodore 64 mine using low power, with low memory footprint, and does not take over the GPU.

Russia is planning to leave NASA s International Space Station (ISS) and has begun building its own amid reports of renewed tensions between the eastern country and the United States.
The news comes after Moscow expressed intentions to leave the ISS program and told Roscosmos State Corporation for Space Activities (Roscosmos) to build an equivalent space station.

Russia s Deputy Prime Minister Yury Borisov had recently expressed the country s intentions to leave the ISS program in 2025 but defended that it is not driven by political reasons.
FirstPost reported on Apr. 23 that Roscosmos, the country s very own space agency, said that the decision is due to the ISS s age, adding that the decision is not yet final.

On Friday, Apr. 23, a report from Hong Kong-based tech site HKEPC revealed that the Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti is officially launching on May 26, 9 PM, confirming previous speculations.
The report also mentioned that photos of the RTX 3080 Ti s shipment to the U.S. was captured and posted as early as Apr. 17, but did not confirm if the photos were real.
