Leigh Ann Bauman, 44, was worried that her ex-husband and former mother-in-law would take her to court to gain full custody of her children.
Bauman allegedly reached out to a friend and asked if they could help her find a hitman and was willing to pay $1,500. She wanted the death to look like an accident. Her friend reached out to the police and provided them a secret recording of their conversation about the murder for hire plot.
Bauman was taken into custody and charged with conspiracy to commit murder. She has denied the charges, claiming that her friend was trying to set her up to gain leverage in their own upcoming criminal case. A judge initially denied Bauman s release, but she was eventually freed after posting a $400,000 bond.

Magee and Leigh Ann M. Urban.
MSNBC Congressional Correspondent Leigh Ann Caldwell joined
Hallie Jackson Reports and the namesake host on Wednesday to discuss President Biden s first set of judicial nominees to appear before the Senate Judiciary Committee.
According to Caldwell, The Trump Administration really remade the federal judiciary appointing more than a quarter of judges, making the judiciary more white, more male, more conservative, and younger.
But things are different now, Now Democrats have their chance. President Biden has nominated 11 nominees. The judiciary committee is hearing the testimony of five of those nominees today and not one of them is a white man. They’re all women or people of color, including one who would be the first Muslim-American [Zahid Quraishi] on the court.

Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
As a five-year-old, I committed this verse to memory out of love and respect for my parents. I didn’t realize they were following God’s leadership and were actively laying a foundation in my heart of dependence on Christ and His word. In obedience to scripture, they accepted Deuteronomy 6:5-7 as a sacred trust:
