Pottawatomie County currently has 13 active COVID-19 cases, which is down from June 23 when there were 24.
11 positive cases connected to COVID-19 variants of concern have also been confirmed since the tracking of variants began earlier this year. This includes five cases of the B.1.1.7 Alpha variant and six cases of the B.1.617.2 Delta variant.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention considers a variant of concern to be relatively more transmissible, harmful or resistant to vaccines or treatment.
