Among titles announced at Paramount’s TCA day today, new scripted series based on such classic films as “Flashdance”, “Fatal Attraction”, “The Italian Job”, “The Parallax View” and “Love Story”. In addition, there’s a reboot of “Criminal Minds”, a small-screen “Halo” series and another “Star Trek” offering.

Fatal Attraction” redo will be spearheaded by “Dirty John” duo Alexandra Cunningham and Kevin Hynes, who will pen the script and exec produce alongside Amblin Television’s Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank. Stanley Jaffe and Sherry Lansing, who produced the 1987 feature, will also exec produce.
A script to series order, it’s a redo of the Michael Douglas-Glenn Close thriller but told through the lens of modern attitudes when it comes to strong women, personality disorders, victim shaming and coercive control.
