Amaravati, April 15 : Andhra Pradesh Governor Biswa Bhushan Harichandan participated in the video conference convened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to review the coronavirus pandemic situation, in which all the Governors have been asked to supplement the efforts of their respective states to tackle the virus. Governors can play an important role with the involvement of Red Cross volunteers, ex-servicemen, NCC, NSS, NGOs, youth associations in creating awareness among the people on Covid appropriate behaviour such as maintaining social distance, wearing mask, vaccination, etc. and curb the spread of the virus, said Modi.

NEW DELHI : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday virtually interacted with Governors and Lieutenant Governors of all states and union territories regarding the COVID-19 situation and the ongoing vaccination drive in the country.
According to PMO, PM Modi said that the values and sense of duty of people are the biggest strengths in the battle against COVID-19, along with the vaccines. He also praised the citizens who participated in this battle last year, considering it their duty, he said that the same feeling of “Janbhagidari” (public participation) needs to be encouraged now as well.

NEW DELHI, Apr 14: Asserting that the Government is committed to ensuring adequate availability of COVID-19 vaccines, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today called for harnessing the combined power of community groups, political parties and NGOs in the battle against the COVID-19 pandemic.
Interacting with Governors and Lieutenant Governors of all States and Union Territories through video conference, Modi urged them to actively engage in ensuring that social institutions collaborate seamlessly with State Governments.
Modi said the feeling of “Janbhagidari” (people’s participation) that was seen in curbing the virus last year needed to encouraged now as well and added the role of governors becomes all the more critical to achieving this.
