Nicholi Vines was arraigned in Grafton Superior Court on Wednesday on charges of prohibited uses of a computer, and attempted felonious sexual assault. He was ordered released on a $5,000 bond and instructed not to have contact with people under 18 and not to travel outside of New Hampshire or Vermont, according to court documents. The charges stem from an undercover operation in September, when Lebanon police posed as a teen girl on the social media app Skout, according to an affidavit written by Lebanon Police Officer Eric Hunter.

Lebanon Police continue investigation into fatal hit and run

The Lebanon Police Department (LPD) has identified a person of interest in a hit and run accident that resulted in the death of a Lebanon man on Dec. 29, according to Lebanon Police Assistant Chief Greg Young, “It’s not like we have nothing,” Young said. “We do have a little bit. We’re working on building that up to where we can officially say the person of interest has turned into an accused.” According to a media release from the LPD, at approximately 4:23 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 29, LPD received a call reporting an accident involving a pedestrian. Lebanon police officers and Marion County EMS responded to Hood Avenue near the intersection with Shelby Street and found Jerry Berentz, 81, of 306 Shelby Street lying in the roadway and badly injured.
