Those interested in putting their name forward as a nominee for the 2021 Municipal Election can now access online resources to help them with this process. The City’s election website at lethbridge.ca/elections will be updated regularly as the nomination period progresses. Resources currently available include: -Council Member Handbook -Pecuniary Interest for Municipal Councillors The website also includes local and provincial legislative information and background to support those interested in running for public office. The Lethbridge Public Library will also be hosting two different educational virtual sessions.

Resources currently available include: · Council Member Handbook · Pecuniary Interest for Municipal Councillors The website also includes local and provincial legislative information and background to support those interested in running for public office. The Lethbridge Public Library will also be hosting two different educational virtual sessions. They will take place on Feb. 23 (Women in local government) and on March 9 (Experiences in local government) and will including a presentation and panel discussion. The nomination period for the 2021 Municipal Election opened on January 1 and will close on September 20, with the election for the City of Lethbridge, the Lethbridge School Division and the Holy Spirit Catholic School Division taking place on Monday, October 18, 2021.
