Husker softball players honored by Big Ten Conference
Tristen Edwards and Billie Andrews have been named to the All-Big Ten First Team, with Karlee Seevers winning Nebraska s Sportsmanship award.

Husker Athletics) Three Nebraska softball players were honored by the Big Ten Conference on Wednesday. Senior outfielder Tristen Edwards and freshman shortstop Billie Andrews were named to the All-Big Ten First Team, while junior pitcher Karlee Seevers was Nebraska’s Big Ten Sportsmanship Award winner.
Nebraska ranked third in the Big Ten with two selections to the 18-player first team, and the Huskers had multiple first-team honorees for the first time since 2016. Andrews was also named to the 11-player Big Ten All-Freshman Team. Maryland’s Jaeda McFarland, a second-team All-Big Ten pick, was the Big Ten Freshman of the Year, while Michigan’s Lexie Blair was selected as the Big Ten Player of the Year and the Wolverines’ Alex Storak

Nearly 48 hours after the NCAA Softball Selection Show, Michigan head coach Carol Hutchins’ bitterness toward the selection committee has subsided.
Hutchins said Sunday night that she felt her team was disrespected by the committee by not getting to host a regional. Instead, the 18th-ranked Wolverines (36-6) will travel to Seattle, where Washington is the host school.
