Dynamic Planner is launching a sustainable investing questionnaire to help advisers talk to clients about ESG factors and sustainability.
Focus groups of advisers have helped the company devise the psychometric sustainable investing questionnaire, which will be available to firms from 7 May.
Dynamic Planner head of psychology and behavioural insights Louis Williams led the development of the questionnaire.
He said: “It has been designed with the client in mind, to avoid jargon and complex terminology; no financial knowledge is needed to answer questions; it employs an appropriate number of questions in an appropriate order; all of this based on feedback and insight provided through testing and consultation with investors and advisers.”

Business transactions often have twists and turns along the way and James Hay’s purchase of rival platform Nucleus has been no different. But it seems the deal is edging closer to the finish line.
James Hay chief executive Richard Rowney has taken delight in Nucleus shareholders “overwhelmingly” accepting the firm’s offer.
“Shareholder approval is a key milestone in the journey to bring together the respective expertise of Nucleus and James Hay,” he says.
Dynamic Planner says its new tool will aid what can be complicated and broad-ranging discussions
Dynamic Planner is to unveil a psychometric sustainable investing questionnaire.
The tool, which the company described as an “industry first”, will be available to all advice firms and clients on the platform from 7 May 2021.
“The questionnaire provides a simple, yet academically robust solution to the challenges advisers face when talking to their clients about environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors and sustainability,” Dynamic Planner said.
It was developed by the firm’s head of psychology and behavioural insights, Louis Williams, and was informed by focus groups and tested by 1,000 investors.
