BAY ST. LOUIS, Miss. (WLOX) - A heroic effort in the face of a terrifying situation played out last month in Bay St. Louis as first responders worked diligently to save the lives of two beloved pets.
At the beginning of December, Brittany DâAntoni was headed to a doctor after testing positive for coronavirus when she got a panicked call from her sister.
Five people were injured in a house fire Sunday morning in South County, with four of them two children and two adults transported to area hospitals, with one child critically injured.
St. Louis County Police officers from the South County Precinct responded to a call for a house fire at roughly 9:40 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 24, in the 700 block of Regina Avenue in Lemay.
The house was on fire when officers arrived. The Lemay Fire Protection District, Mehlville Fire Protection District, Affton Fire Protection District and the St. Louis Fire Department responded to the scene and put out the fire.
Five people were inside the home. One 7-year-old child was taken to a local hospital with injuries that police described as critical but non-life threatening. An 18-month-old child and two adult men were taken to hospitals with non-life threatening injuries, according to police. One adult woman had minor injuries and was not transported by paramedics.
