WHILE scarecrows are usually spotted during festivities at other times of the year a street in Llysfaen has broken the mould. Bron Y Llan residents decided to build their own Santa Street to bring Christmas cheer and community spirit. Residents aged from seven to 80-years-old have spent weeks designing and making paper mache changes to their Halloween displays that raised £800 for the Welsh Mountain Zoo. The street is often busy with walkers as it is situated near the Marian nature reserve and this time they are hoping to raise donations for the Abergele & District Food Bank. We all became much closer on this road after the pandemic hit, said resident Louise Tod.
