Voting papers for Invercargill Licensing Trust’s by-election are set to be sent out this week. Logan Savory caught up with the five candidates in the running for the vacant seat.

Louise Evans Louise Evans wants to provide a younger voice around the Invercargill Licensing Trust board table. Evans left Invercargill as a 17-year-old and lived in various parts of the globe before falling in love with her home city when she returned for a visit.

Another person left frustrated in recent days was a man from Norwich, who said he was initially offered a jab in either Downham Market, Wisbech and Ingoldmells in Lincolnshire - varying from 40 to 100 miles away.
A week later, having checked the site on a regular basis, finally got an appointment in Attleborough on Friday (April 23).
The 46-year-old has, however, been able to book his second jab at the large-scale site in the city s Castle Quarter Shopping Centre.
Having received his vaccine, he said: The staff at the vaccination centre were great and it was all very efficiently done.
MONDAY isn’t traditionally a day people look forward to, but for many in Wales next week it will become their new favourite day of the week, as the hospitality industry reopens.
