It has been a month since the Seacor Power capsizing in April, and searches are still ongoing by groups along the coast.
On Thursday Ronnie Adams, who has been the face of the Seacor search on social media, provided an update on their search operations. Volunteers are searching in the area of Cypremort Point both in Iberia and St. Mary Parishes.
This has been a reoccurring effort with teams out each day to help find those still missing.
They say teams will be searching near Marsh Island and going to canals in other areas on Thursday.
For the uninitiated, Manchin isn t some far right wing Republican like Louisiana Senator John Kennedy who hides behind a southern drawl and pretends he s just a regular guy who doesn t have a law degree (he does) and didn t attend Oxford (he did.)
No, Manchin has a bachelors in business from West Virginia University, and spent most of his adult life in politics. A decade as a state senator, four years as West Virginia Secretary of State, nearly six years as governor, and now more than 10 years as a U.S. Senator.
Casual observers might think he s a dyed in the wool Democrat, but Manchin ranks number 54 on the GovTrack list of U.S. Senators, with number one being the most conservative (Marsha Blackburn) and number 100 being the most liberal (Bernie Sanders).

Fred Weinberg) – I hate to have to call the President of the United States a moron, but, based on his actions since the inauguration, his speech on gun control, his blithe assumption that term limits could be imposed on the Federal judiciary and his inability to do anything about the crisis he has imposed on the southern border, that seems to be the case.
Let’s start with gun control.
In the words of Louisiana Senator John Kennedy,
“In my judgment, we do not need more gun control, we need more idiot control. How do we do that? We have already tried, the Republicans have. Senator [Chuck] Grassley, Senator [Ted] Cruz had a bill to strengthen our national database. We regulate gun ownership in America. If you’re convicted of certain crimes, if you have a tendency to violence, if you’re mentally ill and you want to buy a gun, your name has to run through a database. The problem is that the database has huge holes in it. And many federal agencies and state agencies are
Angels Unawares statue arrives in New Orleans with pro-immigration message
“We have been criticized for our position on this issue, but our position on this issue is rooted in scripture, it’s rooted in justice and it’s rooted in charity. Author: Thanh Truong / Eyewitness News Published: 6:29 PM CDT April 9, 2021 Updated: 6:29 PM CDT April 9, 2021
NEW ORLEANS The Archdiocese of New Orleans unveiled a statue Friday that may be controversial to some. It’s meant to raise awareness of the Catholic faith’s teachings on immigration.
“Angels Unawares” is now on display in front of Notre Dame Seminary. A replica of an original commissioned by Pope Francis, the bronze statue is meant to convey the Catholic message that migrants, refugees and immigrants bring value to communities.
