The piazza at Studio Park in downtown Grand Rapids will be the site of Studio C’s summertime outdoor programming beginning in June.
The events include movies, music and fitness activities, hosted by Celebration Cinema, Listening Room, Funky Buddha Yoga Hothouse, and GR Sport and Social Club.
“This is more than a 2020 reprise,” said Quinn Matthews, manager of Listening Room and piazza events. “This was always the vision. There will be events and activities taking place multiple times a day, most days of the week. Studio Park’s piazza was designed for activation with a state-of-the-art sound system, digital screen and direct service of food and beverage from 123 Tavern’s outdoor bar. Last year pushed things along and brought focus to outdoor events, Thankfully, this space was ready. We have some strange yet sweet memories of opportunities it provided to gather during a hard year.”

This past year has taught us how important it is to keep connected, and that in the end – the show must go on. We’ve also learned that you can’t stop the music. Northern Michigan Grown, Luke Winslow-King sent us an update following his recent live stream performance.
On April 10th, Luke was reunited with fellow musician, Robert Luti for a special online event called “United”. It celebrated its return to the stage after the difficulties of 2020.
“I’m still reeling from the ‘United’ live stream broadcast,” he said excitedly. “What a night!”. Luke and Robert played songs from their latest album live on the streets of Spain. The performance included singers and bands from across the world making this live stream a truly ‘United’ event.

Equal parts poignant and lighthearted, Esther Rose s honeyed retro-country has the crossover appeal of artists like Margo Price and Kelsey Waldon.
Steeped in dreamy, rustic twang, her solo debut, This Time Last Night, arrived in 2017. Her third album, 2021 s How Many Times, added a touch of pop luminance to the mix without diluting her songs folksy charm.
Born in Detroit and based New Orleans, Rose began her recording career in collaboration with her then-husband, Luke Winslow-King, in 2013. They split in 2015, and she set about putting together an album of her own.

Cadillac native Luke Winslow-King and Roberto Luti are reuniting for a special online event on April 10 that will feature special guests from around the world.
The show, titled âUnited,â will celebrate Luke and Robertoâs return to the stage after the musical dry spell that was 2020.
In speaking about the online event, Winslow-King said, âRoberto Luti and I are finally back playing live music again and are super excited to present this one-time, livestream event.â He continues, âRoberto and I are coming back to the stage with renewed appreciation, tons of new music, and feel privileged to partake in the live music experience with you once again. Very few people are able to attend our limited capacity tour here in Spain; and with the shows sold out, we thought it would be best to bring the show to you live and direct.â
