Blake Bolden’s career has been nothing short of illustrious & decorated. As a defenseman for the Boston College women’s hockey team from 2009-2013, Bolden scored 82 points in 139 games and captained the team her senior year, earning Hockey East Defensive Player of the Year and All-American honors.
After graduating from BC, Bolden went on to play professional women’s hockey, becoming the first Black professional women’s hockey player to play in the Canadian Women’s Hockey League and the National Women’s Hockey League.

It was a grand night for Anze Kopitar.
The Los Angeles Kings celebrated their captain for scoring his 1,000th career point, rolling out the red carpet and the retro video clips.
The Kings played a lengthy highlight video of many Kopitar milestone points (interestingly enough, Kopitar’s 500th career point came on Justin Williams’ 200th craeer goal) from his first goal to his most recent on Tuesday.
Kopitar joined Marcel Dionne, Luc Robitaille and Dave Taylor as the only players to score 1,000 career points for the Kings.

Gabriel Vilardi scored two goals as the Los Angeles Kings earned a 4-2 victory over the Coyotes on Wednesday in Glendale, Ariz., eliminating Arizona from playoff contention.
Los Angeles Anze Kopitar reached 1,000 career points on a late assist.
Sean Walker amassed a goal and two assists and Jaret Anderson-Dolan also scored a goal for the Kings, who earned consecutive victories at Arizona in a span of three days. Los Angeles goaltender Calvin Petersen made 28 saves.
Kopitar s milestone moment came when he was credited with an assist on Walker s empty-net goal with 37 seconds remaining. Kopitar became the fourth Kings player to reach 1,000 points, joining Marcel Dionne (1,307), Luc Robitaille (1,154) and Dave Taylor (1,069).
