As a defenseman for the Boston College women’s hockey team from 2009-2013, Bolden scored 82 points in 139 games and captained the team her senior year, earning Hockey East Defensive Player of the Year and All-American honors. After graduating from BC, Bolden went on to play professional women’s hockey, becoming the first Black professional women’s hockey player to play in the Canadian Women’s Hockey League and the National Women’s Hockey League.
