Police have been called to a house - believed to be made up of flats - in Belmont Road, Anfield amid unconfirmed reports a woman s body has been found.
Neighbours fear she had been dead for several days.
We have asked Merseyside Police for official information.
Residents say the police descended on the street last night and shared video footage with the ECHO.

Play now Emergency services rushed to the scene on Belmont Road in Anfield at about 8.30pm and found the woman already dead in one of the flats. Detectives have arrested four people on suspicion of murder. They are a 33-year-old man from Anfield, a 22-year-old man from Anfield, a 30-year-old man from Liverpool, and a 29-year-old woman from Fairfield. A 44-year-old man from Anfield was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. They are being held in custody and will be quizzed by police officers.

The family of a dad-of-two kicked to death in a churchyard simply for his expensive Rolex watch have gone through the most unimaginable heartache in the last nine months , police said. Two men and two teenage boys were yesterday convicted of conspiracy to rob and the manslaughter of Steven McMyler who was targeted by a gang determined to rob his £13,000 timepiece.

Streets in Garston remained sealed off this morning, nearly 24 hours after shots were fired in the area.
Today part of York Street was also cordoned off.

Yesterday, armed police were scrambled to Chesterton Street.
There are no reported injuries at this time.
Detective Chief Inspector Matt Smith yesterday slammed the thugs behind the reckless shots fired.
