“IW share our direction, motivation and ambition and we are excited to begin this partnership,” Mark Hardiman, LAT Water CEO said in a statement. “This funding enables us to push forwards our targets of providing innovative, sustainable, low-cost solutions for wastewater treatment.”
The LAT technology process separates and recovers clean water from contaminated industrial water using waste heat. The system is said to be highly scalable and can be installed for treating flows from one to over 1,000 cubic metres per day of effluent, delivering up to 60 per cent cost savings for the operator whilst reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
According to LAT Water, the process is capable of treating wastewater for a range of applications, including wastewater from landfill sites. In this application, the process helps with the odour associated with such sites as well as reducing the need to transport waste off-site for treatment.

HARRISON COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) - East Texas is still suffering the effects of Februaryâs freezing temperatures and heavy snowfall.
The freeze and icy conditions virtually shut down East Texas and caused a lot of plumbing damage, and collapsed roofs and metal canopies. The Harrison County Road and Bridge building suffered so much damage they had to move their offices.
And they will soon begin cleanup of a collapse at the back end of the building.

MADISON, Wis. – There’s a nurse at UW Hospital who’s using his off-time to show support for those he works with day after day.
Luke Davis has been taking photos of his colleagues in working to create a book called “Faces of the Pandemic.”
“I wanted it to be impactful. I wanted it to be the center focus. To just look at their faces and see their eyes and see the emotion in raw form,” Davis said.
The Oregon native is a nurse in the Trauma and Life Support Intensive Care Unit. He’s been with UW Hospital for two years now, half of which has been during the pandemic.

The Hove seafront venue has been closing its roof with customers inside amid bad weather. Pictures showing people inside the building with the roof closed were circulated on social media, prompting complaints the venue was not following coronavirus safety measures. The Argus visited Rockwater’s rooftop building yesterday evening amid wet weather. The roof was closed, but all the slat doors on its south side were open. To be considered “outdoors”, according to government guidance, shelters, marquees and other coverings can have a roof. However, at least half of the area of the walls must be open at all times when in use, according to information on the government’s website.
