Fans are once again disappointed in “Wheel of Fortune.” This time, it’s over a technicality that resulted in a player losing even after giving a correct answer.
On Wednesday’s episode, David Pederson had just about solved the daily crossword puzzle, which consisted of four words under the category of “Catch of the Day.” Pederson was just two letters short of completely filling out the puzzle, so he opted to solve it.

LEWISTON The city has inked a new deal with developer Tom Platz this time calling it a “final” agreement for the purchase and redevelopment of Bates Mill No. 5.
The five-year option agreement sets new parameters between the city and Platz, who has found success in redeveloping the rest of the Bates Mill complex. But, redeveloping the hulking, 350,000-square-foot Mill No. 5 has been elusive.

LEWISTON Officials tabled the adoption of a city equity statement Tuesday, after a councilor said the language should be subject to a legal review.
However, those opposed to the delay said the joint equity statement, established by City Spirit L/A, has already been vetted, and does not bind the city to any policy decisions.
The equity statement was developed as a joint initiative with Auburn through the ‘Spirit’ council, a group of city, school and community leaders formed to address conflict and inequity in the Twin Cities.
City officials in Lewiston and Auburn got a first look at the statement during separate workshop sessions earlier this month. The statement is seen as a way to guide the future work of the cities.

LEWISTON The city is moving forward with establishing a charter review committee, which could be a precursor to an elected charter commission depending on its final recommendations.
The city charter requires Lewiston to appoint a review committee every 10 years in calendar years ending in one. However, the review committee is limited in the changes it can propose, and if the recommended changes are deemed by legal counsel to be “major” changes to Lewiston’s structure of government, then a full charter commission is required.
In either case, voters have the final say on any proposed changes.
The seven-member review committee will be appointed by Mayor Mark Cayer, and officials are asking members of the public to apply for the positions by Friday, March 12. According to a city memo, the review process is slated to take place between March and June, with a final report delivered to the City Council in July.
