Unlike many teams that scrambled to get under the salary cap this season and might face issues in 2021-22 due a flat cap of $81.5 million, the Detroit Red Wings will have ample cap space this offseason.
Of course, that is also why those teams are either competing for the Stanley Cup or a playoff spot and the Red Wings will be in the draft lottery for the fifth year in a row.

Rematch time for the first two losses in Dallas in this four game series. They’re in our house now. Of course, we’re missing even more people, including Dylan Larkin. Michael Rasmussen is our top center.
The Stars are playing Mark Pysyk at forward on a night where elsewhere in the league Brendan Smith scored a goal.
First Period.
22 seconds into the game, Thomas Greiss has to make his first high-danger save. Buckle in. The good early news is that the Vrana-Rasmussen-Zadina line definitely looks like it could be fun if somehow the Wings can put together a few shifts from literally any other line.
