ALLEN PARK While special teams were the least of the Detroit Lions’ concerns in 2020, longtime kicker Matt Prater remains without a deal and long snapper Don Muhlbach’s next steps are unclear.
Prater, 36, had his worst season since landing in Detroit back in 2014. He missed seven field-goal attempts, all from at least 40 yards out, his most in a season since he missed nine while still with the Broncos in 2008. Muhlbach, 39, played another full season, bringing his total up to 260 career games played. That’s 37th on the NFL’s all-time list.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. With respect to the offense and defense, which will both need to replace some All-Americans for the 2021 college football season, neither has had as much offseason turnover as Alabama s special teams.
The one thing we know is that junior kicker Will Reichard can t do any better percentage-wise as he didn t miss a field goal or extra point all last season. He made all 14 field-goal attempts, the longest being from 52 yards, and Alabama was 84-for-84 on conversions.
