Three family members who died in a house fire late last month in Mumias, Kakamega County were buried yesterday in an emotional send-off.
Eugene Omunyore, 23, his wife Miriam Echesa and their one-year-old son were burnt when their house was set ablaze by unknown people at Shikalame village in Mumias West constituency on January 30.
The man and son died a day after the arson attack at a local hospital while the woman succumbed one week later.

MCAs from Western region are meeting today in Kakamega town to discuss the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) Bill and the political agenda of the region.
The ward representatives from Trans Nzoia, Busia, Bungoma, Vihiga and Kakamega counties have been invited to the meeting that will be graced by Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi, Cotu secretary General Francis Atwoli, among other leaders from the region.
Ayub Savula, ANC deputy party leader said the meeting was meant to whip the MCAs to pass the Constitutional (Amendment) Bill 2020.
Drama unfolded in Shangazi Village in Marakusi, Lugari Sub-County in Kakamega County, Kenya where a woman shocked neighbours on Tuesday, February 9, when she took her husbandâs cows to her parentsâ homestead as dowry.
The woman complained that she had lived with her husband for years, yet he was delaying rewarding her parents for raising her up.
