Jamerion D. Mitchell, 32, died March 21 after being shot several times at a party at a home on FM 1013 west of Spurger. The sheriff’s office states there were about 100 people at the party but they are not getting cooperation from witnesses.

The Gayla Mize Garden doesn t have a date yet, they are still clearing trails there. The Mast Arboretum at SFA is open and ready. Nacogdoches isn t only billed as the Oldest Town In Texas they are also The Garden Capital of Texas. LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - The Lufkin Police Department is on the hunt for two suspects who allegedly attempted to steal a truck before leading officers on a chase. According to a Facebook post by the department, officers are in pursuit of two white males who fled on foot in the 100 block of Pinery Road in Burke. The report states that the suspects allegedly hooked up a pickup for sale to a tow truck without first purchasing said pickup. The owner of the pickup noticed the suspects’ actions, which prompted the suspects to then abandon the

Blessing Bags For Nac put together bags filled with necessities for homeless adults and children to be freely given. This a great organization full of selfless thoughtful individuals. They are giving their own time and resources to make this happen. If you would like to join them in the cause, you are in luck. They have a meeting coming up, and there you can find out what Blessing Bags is all about. The meeting is in Lufkin on Thursday March 18th, 2021 at 5:45pm at Grace Dunn Park in Lufkin.
