The
Leelanau Peninsula Wine Trail is kicking off their 2021 season with ‘Rosé All May’ featuring the array of rosé wines offered on the Leelanau Peninsula. People can reserve a ticket that will get you a souvenir glass to take to any of the 21 wineries on the Leelanau Peninsula Wine Trail.
People have the entire month of May to enjoy the various rosés, ranging from dry to sweet, including both sparkling and still varieties. You’re encouraged to make reservations ahead of time at any of the wineries and social distancing and CDC safety guidelines will be enforced.

Well, Michiganders, we know where you’re headed this summer: “Up North.”
We asked you this week to nominate Michigan’s Best Vacation Spot, and you responded with an overwhelming number of destinations for Northern Michigan.
The Northern Lower Peninsula led the way with 62 nominations.
The Upper Peninsula was next with 37.
With a total of 132 nominations, that’s 75 percent of your nominations for places “Up North.”

Rosé all May on Leelanau Peninsula
The
Leelanau Peninsula Wine Trail is kicking off their 2021 season with “Rosé All May:” a month-long event inviting you to explore the many rosé wines offered in the area. Once you buy your ticket, you’ll get a souvenir glass to take to any of the 21 wineries on the Leelanau Peninsula Wine Trail, and sample a glass of their rosé. You have all month to enjoy the various rosés, which range from dry to sweet, including both sparkling and still varieties. You’re welcome to make reservations ahead of time at any of the wineries you’ll be visiting to help allow for social distancing.

Simply put, “Up North just means summer vacation time” in Michigan, said reader Chris Jones of Rockford.
“No matter where ‘Up North’ is to you, it’s where you want to be in the summer,” said Jones, a father of two who is the controller at Rockford Package Supply. “It’s where you want to be in the summer..We all love going Up North!”
