It s worth noting the hospitals were graded during a time of extraordinary pressure on the health care system due to the coronavirus pandemic. This pandemic emphasized how much we rely on America s health care workforce, Leapfrog Group President and CEO Leah Binder said in a news release. Our straight A hospitals remind us how preparedness protected their patients as well as their workforce and created a high level of organizational resilience.

COLUMBUS The Leapfrog Group, an independent national watchdog organization driven by employers and other purchasers of health care, today announced the spring 2021 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grades. Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle is one of only 27 hospitals in the United States to be awarded an “A” grade every grading cycle since 2012. This latest grade marked the 19 th consecutive time the hospital earned an “A’ for achieving the highest national standards in patient safety.
The hospital is the only hospital in Mississippi and one of only 27 in the United States to have received ‘Straight As’ for patient safety since Leapfrog began grading hospitals for patient safety in 2012.

MILFORD Milford Regional Medical Center has been nationally recognized for the sixth time in a row with an “A” for the Spring 2021 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade.
The distinction recognizes Milford Regional’s achievements in protecting patients from errors, injuries, accidents, and infections. The Leapfrog Group is an independent national watchdog organization committed to health care quality and safety. The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade assigns an “A,” “B,” “C,” “D,” or “F” grade to all general hospitals across the country and is updated every six months. It is the only hospital ratings program based exclusively on hospitals’ prevention of medical errors and other harms to patients in their care.
