Police are seeking witnesses to help assist their enquires after a man was assaulted in Leeds City Centre by a group of youths POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted by a group of youths, made up of five males and a female, in Leeds City Centre. The incident occurred at approximately 3.55am on May 29, outside the Samsung store on Briggate, when officers attended reports of an ongoing fight. The 29-year-old victim was alone and wearing a blue jacket at the time of the incident. Officers believed there may have been a number of people present who witnessed the assault and are asking those with any information that may assist with enquiries to contact police.

Arriving by public transport
From Leeds City Rail Station buses pick up from Boar Lane (4 and 16), The Headrow (42 and 56) and the Corn Exchange (19, 40, 64). Buses will alight at Compton Road, Lupton Avenue or York Road (Shaftesbury Interchange). The bus station is opposite the West Yorkshire Playhouse at the bottom end of the outdoor market. Taxis are easily accessible from both the rail and bus stations.
