Ross Braude took a leap of faith when he boarded a plane from his native South Africa to take part in a Rugby Canada high-performance camp last November on Vancouver Island. For the most part I think Canada has been good about setting restrictions on professional sports to help limit the spread of COVID-19.
The government did not allow Canada’s lone Major League Baseball and lone National Basketball Association teams to play in Toronto and have continuous cross-border flights.

Good call considering the Toronto Raptors COVID-19 positive tests resulting in postponed games before the NBA All-Star Break in early March. It took nearly a month before the Raptors had a full roster available to play due to ongoing COVID-19 protocols that affected not only the players, but also the coaching staff.
