Hey, O! Been away for a while, so if this has been recently asked, I apologize. After playing Jaguars General Manager Trent Baalke on mock simulators and feeling smug about myself, I started thinking, Why is there no talk about targeting Jackson Carman of Clemson at offensive tackle? Or a Clemson wide receiver? Just seems like it might be advantageous to surround our quarterback with teammates he already has chemistry with. Thanks, man!

MANITOBA, Canada On Tuesday, Toronto FC General Manager Ali Curtis was out wheelin’ and dealin’ and acquired $225,000 in General Allocation Money from FC Dallas in exchange for an international roster spot.
This gives TFC some more room under the salary cap for Curtis and TFC President Bill Manning to make the moves they deem necessary to put this squad in a position to realize the immense potential it has. But what moves would be most sensible for the club to make?

And to hear analysts tell it, that absolutely will be necessary in the 2021 NFL Draft when it comes to finding a front-line defensive tackle in what is widely considered a weaker-than-usual draft at the position. It s probably one of the worst defensive tackle groups that we ve had in the last decade, NFL Media analyst Daniel Jeremiah said. It s just not very good. I think there s a good chance we don t see a defensive tackle go in the first round. So, it s not a great year for defensive tackle.
U22 Initiative officially unveiled with 2021 roster rules

Major League Soccer released its 2021 roster rules Tuesday, and a long-rumored initiative has finally come to pass.
MLS announced the implementation of the “U22 Initiative” that will allow teams to increase their investment in dynamic, promising young players without breaking the bank, or their salary budgets.
Starting this year, teams will now be able to sign up to three young players (age 22 and younger) to higher-value contracts at a reduced budget charge. This is in addition to the standard three Designated Players that teams are allowed to sign though there is a significant caveat in how the initiative will be applied.

For the first time in 43 years, the NFL is expanding its regular season.
League owners voted this week to approve a 17-game regular season schedule starting with the 2021 season, while reducing the preseason to three games. It’s news of a sort, but it had been widely anticipated. It was made possible through the negotiation of the latest CBA agreement, which was ratified just about a year ago, and it was given financial impetus by the financial impact of COVID-19 on the league revenues in 2020. While many analysts and owners would argue that the owners could have unilaterally expanded the regular season without agreement from the players, any contentious labor battles or legal issues were avoided by including the provision for the expanded season in the most recent CBA.
