TAMPA, FL Hillsborough County s COVID-19 coronavirus public vaccination site at the community center at Palm River Park, 725 S. 58th St. in Tampa, will be closed on Memorial Day, May 31.
First doses of the vaccine will be available at the indoor location June 1-4 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. In addition, the Palm River Park location will accept individuals who missed their second Pfizer dose that was to have been dispensed at any of the federal, state and county public vaccination sites, which have now closed.

TAMPA, Fla. - Health department officials say a drop in demand for COVID-19 testing has led many state and county-run testing locations to close after months of operations. On Saturday, all state-run testing sites in Florida will officially close.
Moving forward, officials said local pharmacies, doctors’ offices, county health facilities and urgent care locations will take over testing. Many pharmacies, including CVS and Walgreens, provide COVID-19 testing free of charge.
Hillsborough emergency officials will continue to operate their test site at the Lee Davis Community Resource Center through June 30. It will very likely be the last government-run testing site in the entire Bay Area.

The state-run coronavirus testing site at University Mall in Tampa is closing as of Friday, May 21, county officials announced Wednesday.
Also, the Pasco County Health Department announced the last day of drive-thru testing site at Gulf View Square Mall in Port Richey will be Monday from 8-11 a.m.
During a Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners meeting, County Emergency Management Director Tim Dudley cited a downward trend in the positivity rate and number of cases.

COVID-19 coronavirus Update No. 270
Hillsborough County, Fla. (Feb. 1, 2021) – The public COVID-19 coronavirus testing site at the University of South Florida’s main campus in north Tampa has reopened.
Testing there was temporarily suspended in November as campus operations transitioned through the holidays. The site is located in the parking lot adjacent to the USF Health Therapy (MDT) building, 3515 E. Fletcher Ave., and is open three days a week.
In addition to drive-thru testing, the USF location can accommodate people who arrive on foot or by bicycle. Appointments are required and can be made by going to HCFLGov.net/COVIDTesting. To make an appointment by phone, call (888) 513-6321 weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Loved ones and the community are remembering a Tampa flight nurse and nurse practitioner who died after battling COVID-19 since before Thanksgiving.
TAMPA, Fla. - Changes are coming to the Raymond James coronavirus testing site. After it closes Thursday at noon, the site will reopen in a new location.
Starting Monday, Jan. 4, the site will move across Dale Mabry Highway and can be accessed through Parking Lot 12, which is near the entrance to Hillsborough Community College. Residents will enter the site from the north near the entrance to the HCC parking lot on Tampa Bay Boulevard.
