A JUNIOR school has been told it still needs to improve after its latest Ofsted inspection. Inspectors paid a monitoring visit to Howbridge Church of England Junior School in Witham after the school received two successive requires improvement judgements. However, inspector Liz Smith reported that leaders and those responsible for governance are taking effective action in order for the school to become a good school . This is the first inspection at the school since the pandemic began. The report said: Leaders are making headway with improvements to the education of pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities. Teachers understand more clearly how to cater for individual needs in their classes due to bespoke training to support them in their work.
