National workforce nursing leader honoured by university

Mark Radford The chief nurse of Health Education England has been awarded an honorary degree for his “inspirational” nursing leadership including during the coronavirus pandemic. Professor Mark Radford, who is also one of England’s deputy chief nursing officers, said he was honoured to receive the title from Staffordshire University. “I’m delighted to receive this recognition from my peers and from such a great university Mark Radford The university said Professor Radford was being “recognised for his role as inspirational leader”. It cited his work leading HEE’s response to Covid-19, which included the paid placement programme for student nurses to support colleagues in tackling the crisis.
