UK performance hardware manufacturer, Allen Brothers (fittings) Ltd, has appointed Jon Sturmer as Business Development Manager.
Jon Sturmer has had an extensive career in the marine industry and has previously worked for Dolphin Sails as the Sales Manager. Taking on the new role at Allen from the start of 2021, Jon will be based at the Allen headquarters in Essex and will be driving the business development and sales in the international marketplace. I m excited to be joining a company that supplies great British designed and manufactured parts to everyone from weekend boaters through to Olympic sailors. Having used Allen products on my own boats and professionally at past jobs, I already knew Allen made great products. It is also important to me that Allen is looking to increase its environmental responsibilities by utilising recycled products as used on the 20 & 30mm plain bearing block ranges. BRATTLEBORO â Individual school boards could be coming back to Brattleboro, Dummerston, Guilford and Putney.
At a meeting held remotely Tuesday, the Windham Southeast School District board voted 7-1 to include on the annual March warning an article about dissolving the board and returning to local board governance in each of the four towns. Board member Shaun Murphy voted against the move and Michelle Luetjen Green abstained.
The board also voted that if the power to warn the articles doesnât fall under its providence, it will immediately request each townâs select board include articles about dissolution on warnings in March votes. Murphy abstained.

Festive window decorating takes off as communities adapt to Christmas amid pandemic

On Tuesday evening the lights will go on in Clare Bennettâs front window and a carefully constructed snow scene will be revealed to her neighbours. âThere have been endless discussions about the use of Sellotape and sticky-back plastic. Itâs been quite a learning curve seeing what you need to make a window display,â she said. âYou can get quite lost in these discussions.â
