BOSTON A $600 million bond bill to finance a new Holyoke Soldiers’ Home and enhanced veterans’ services across the state passed the Senate 40-0 after a hearing Thursday. The unanimous Senate vote comes two weeks after the House voted 160-0 to pass a $400 million bond bill specifically to support the Holyoke project. A Senate Ways and Means Committee, however, added $200 million for enhanced services across the state, in response to legislators in the eastern part of the state calling for regional equity.
