With less than two weeks before they leave for Graz, Austria for the FIBA 3×3 Olympic Qualifying Tournament (OQT), the Gilas Pilipinas 3×3 national team has made progress with its preparation for the said event.
Despite the delay in preparation because of the community quarantine the government implemented in the NCR Plus, the Nationals doubled the effort to get to where they are now.
Gilas Pilipinas 3×3 head coach Ronnie Magsanoc said he is very pleased with the commitment of the players after more than a week of training camp bubble in Calamba, Laguna.
The 3×3 pool composed of PBA players Moala Tautuaa and CJ Perez of San Miguel, rookies Joshua Munzon of Terrafirma and Leonard Santillan of Rain or Shine, and ex-pro Karl Dehesa were all present before Magsanoc gave the players a break to work on their respective documents necessary for Austria.

Set to see action in the 3×3 OQT in Austria later this month, the national team, composed of the country’s top 3-on-3 players and Philippine Basketball Association stars, spent eight straight days in its training “bubble” at the INSPIRE Sports Academy in Calamba, Laguna, before taking a break.
It treks back to camp in the middle of this week to wrap up its preparation before flying to the tournament in Graz where it goes for one of the three Olympic tickets up for grabs.
