(WVIR) - The Virginia Tech football team has voted to decline any potential bowl bids this year, which ends the Hokies’ postseason streak at 27 consecutive bowls. Tech’s run of success from 1993-2019 was the longest-active bowl streak in the nation, and the fourth-longest all-time. “I think it speaks to the difficulty of the season that they’ve been through,” says Fuente. “There were players that wanted to play.  They were passionate about that.  But we were going to do this all-together, or not.  This was ultimately about our kids, and I think they’ve sacrificed enough.”
