CFB Transfers Who Could Have the Biggest Impact in 2021 Season

0 of 9 Former Georgia CB Tyrique StevensonMichael Woods/Associated Press The 2021 college football season will go down in history as the Year of the Transfer. Because the 2020-21 academic year did not count against anyone s eligibility clock and because the NCAA finally approved the one-time free transfer proposal (undergraduates aren t required to sit out for a year if it s their first time transferring), transfers are taking place en masse. The vast majority of those transfers will be either inconsequential or only mildly consequential, but a handful could make a College Football Playoff-altering impact in their new homes. A player leaving one team to lead another to championship heights is not a new phenomenon. A former transfer won the Heisman Trophy in 2017, 2018 and 2019, after all. But it feels like there have already been at least five times as many Oh, wow, that s a huge pickup for an already solid team reactions to transfers as usual.

For me, it s not so much about stats particularly won-loss record, which should be only a small part of QB evaluations but rather making some plays that really open my eyes. Sure, Tua had some highlight-reel plays in the game against Arizona, including his fake in the open field against Buddy Baker, but nothing that had me thinking, Oh yeah, that s the one. More than anything, I want to see him throw a pass int

Dolphins announce free agent and rookie jersey numbers Photo by David Dermer-Pool/Getty Images The Miami Dolphins have announced the jersey numbers for their 2021 NFL Draft rookie class, recent free-agent additions, and incumbents who are switching numbers. The announcement came on Twitter and includes payers like first-round pick Jaylen Waddle, free agent Will Fuller V, and 2020 opt-out returnee Albert Wilson. The NFL relaxed some of the jersey numbering rules this year, allowing for an expansion of numbers for several positions. The number structures are now: Quarterbacks/kickers/punters 1-19 Tight ends 1-49, 80-90 Wilson, a wide receiver, will wear number 2 after having previously worn 15 for the 2018 and 2019 seasons. Fuller, a wide receiver who signed with the Dolphins in free agency this year, will have number 3 after wearing 15 for his first five years in the league, all with the Houston Texans.

Dolphins Play Numbers Game

Dolphins Play Numbers Game Author: May 7, 2021 The Miami Dolphins took to social media Friday to reveal the jersey numbers of their 2021 newcomers, as well as some changes from last year. The unveiling of the numbers also reflected the new NFL guidelines regarding numbers for different positions. It s under those new guidelines that rookie first-round pick Jaelan Phillips will be able to keep his University of Miami number of 15. It was wide receiver Lynn Bowden Jr. who wore 15 for the Dolphins last year, and that was because the previous number 15, Albert Wilson, opted out. Bowden has switched to number 6 for 2021, while Wilson now will be wearing number 2.
