The case could never be more evident than in an estimate by the Center for Advanced Defense Studies for National Geographic, the amount of elephant ivory, rhino horn, and pangolin scales confiscated by authorities in 2020 was much less than in the previous five years (C4ADS).
Decrease in Amount
According to Faith Hornor, a C4ADS program manager who led the study, assessing seizures of these three wildlife items isn t indicative of what s been going on with the illegal wildlife trade in general. Still, it is a strong predictor of intercontinental wildlife trade patterns between Africa and Asia, where those three resources are significant.

Conservation is a term used to describe efforts to make humans interaction with the ecosystem more secure while also consuming natural resources. Conservationists are usually in favor of policies that reduce human utilization of natural resources, but only where they are useful to humanity. They will likely favor a program that granted tax breaks to homeowners who built solar panels, but not one that prevented the building of roads in national parks. Conservation may also refer to the decisions people make on a daily basis to reduce their consumption, such as taking shorter showers or installing solar panels.

Vietnam has reported 2,362 coronavirus cases and 35 deaths, despite its population of 97 million.
From previous experience, Vietnam had a long-term plan in place to cope with outbreaks.
Contact tracing, strategic testing, clear messaging, and mask-wearing prevented mass lockdowns.
Countries like New Zealand, Australia, and Taiwan have been praised for the way their leaders acted quickly.
