Producers are currently casting fresh faces for the production underway right now throughout parts of the area.
Casting Taylor Made are looking for actors to portray “Karate Tournament Fan” for upcoming shoots in Lithia Springs taking place starting April 18. The Southern Casting Call reports there may be an option for more production shoots on the 20th and 21st as well.
Biden announces nominee for FMCSA boss
Meera Joshi, who has served as the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s acting administrator since the Biden administration took office in January, is the president’s nominee to head up the agency that oversees the trucking industry.
FMCSA Acting Administrator Meera JoshiJoshi was one of 10 nominations announced by the White House Wednesday to fill posts at various agencies related to climate and transportation.
If confirmed by the Senate, Joshi will be the first person to hold the title of FMCSA Administrator since Ray Martinez left the post in 2019. Jim Mullen served as acting administrator after Martinez left. When Mullen retired from the agency last summer, Wiley Deck led the agency as deputy administrator from September until Jan. 20.

Lake Shelbyville, IL -(Effingham Radio)- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Friends of Lake Shelbyville are excited to be hosting the Loop Lake Shelbyville bike ride on Saturday, June 12th, 2021. The event was cancelled last year due to COVID-19, therefore dust off your bicycles and join us for a fun ride! All rides will start from the Lake Shelbyville Visitor and will include options for a 22 mile, 34 mile, 48 mile or a 65 mile ride. Proceeds for the ride will benefit the Friends of Lake Shelbyville (FOLS). The FOLS provides education, historical interpretation, recreational and environmental improvements at Lake Shelbyville.
