The auction of the rising nine-year-old created a social media storm and led to a gofundme page which late this morning had raised almost $5,000 to re-home the popular gelding, winner of the 2019 Eclipse Stakes and over $600,000 in stakemoney. The biggest motivation was close to home, as the new Warrnambool start-up trainer wanted the option, at the very least, to enact a succession.
