Richard Wiltshire A MELKSHAM councillor is urging the town council to delay holding its annual council meetings until June when Covid-19 pandemic restrictions will be further relaxed. Richard Wiltshire says the move will enable the council to dispense with ordering £28,000-worth of audio/video equipment to ensure social distancing. Town clerk Linda Roberts has reserved the Melksham Assembly Hall for the annual council meeting on May 17 and the annual town meeting on May 24. This will allow members of public, councillors and staff to comply with the Covid-19 regulations. Mr Wiltshire said: We are now aware that further relaxation of Covid regulations could apply from June 21 and the need for audio/video equipment could therefore be less.
Gov. Doug Ducey on Friday said Arizona is 100% focused on fixing the computer issues that have delayed payments to the caregivers of thousands of foster and adopted children and said payments will go out as soon as possible.
He acknowledged the frustrations of caregivers affected by the state Department of Child Safety s decision to block their access to the new computer system that, among other things, is supposed to process monthly stipends and subsidies to thousands of foster, adoptive, kinship and guardianship parents. We want to get those payments out, that s the word, the governor said. Pressed for when that would happen, he replied, As soon as possible.
