The only Covid-free area in Slough | Slough Observer

BPH publishes a weekly Covid-19 briefing and breaks down the data by electoral ward. The data was published on April 14 and shows the number of reported cases and their infection rate between April 2 and 8. BPH has rounded the data for each ward to the nearest five in order to protect the identity of individuals. Foxborough ward was the only area in the borough to be Covid-free for the second time running. Last week, Upton recorded no cases, but is the only area to see a small uptick in infections according to BPH. Most areas either saw no change in their figures or have seen a decrease in coronavirus cases.

Slough Conservatives pledge to tackle Labour's 'debt crisis'

Fourteen councillor positions are up for grabs out Slough Borough Council’s 42 seats on May 6. Ahead of the local elections, the Tory group revealed their six key election pledges to “build back better in Slough” in their manifesto. One of their key commitments is to tackle Labour’s “impending debt crisis”, which they allege is over £700 million, by formulating a plan such as selling off council buildings to pay off around £20 million of the debt. Slough Labour were contacted on the debt. Another pledge includes continuing to oppose Labour’s “unfair” 4.99 per cent council tax rise and keep it “as low as possible”.

The two Slough areas that have recorded no coronavius cases

BPH publishes a weekly Covid-19 briefing and breaks down the data by electoral ward. The data was published on March 31 and shows the number of reported cases and their infection rate between March 20 and 26. BPH has rounded the data for each ward to the nearest five in order to protect the identity of individuals. Foxborough and Upton were the wards that declared themselves covid-free last week, according to BPH. Covid-19 data have not changed in most Slough wards compared with the last week, but areas such as Colnbrook with Poyle, Elliman, and Farnham have seen their infection rate spike. Britwell and Northborough, Central, Chalvey, and Langley St Mary’s were the only areas to see a decrease in cases.

The 32 areas of Berkshire where there are coronavirus cases

The 32 areas of Berkshire where there are coronavirus cases THERE are 32 areas of Berkshire which are reporting coronavirus cases - but cases continue to fall across the county. An interactive map, which uses Public Health England data, shows how many people have tested positive for the virus in each area of the county over the seven-day period up to Sunday, March 28. Public Health England breaks down the numbers of coronavirus cases into neighbourhoods called Middle Super Output Areas (MSOAs), which are smaller than council wards and based on population rather than geographical area. The interactive map allows users to type in their postcode and see how many cases were reported in their area and if it has increased or decreased from the week before. The darker the colour on the image, the more positive test results have been recorded.
