The death toll in Saskatchewan due to COVID-19 now stands at 204.
In its daily COVID update Tuesday, the provincial government said five more residents who had tested positive for the virus had died.
Two people in the 80-and-over age group who lived in the Regina zone passed away. The other deaths were a person in their 70s from the far northwest area, an individual in their 70s from the northwest zone, and a person in their 30s from the southwest zone.
The province also announced there were 248 new cases the lowest single-day total since Jan. 5.

Ten Saskatchewan residents who previously tested positive for COVID-19 have died over the past two days.
In a media release Tuesday, the Ministry of Health said a person in their 20s from the Saskatoon zone had died.
Two deaths in the 60-to-69 age group were reported, with one in each of the Saskatoon and north-central zones. An individual in their 70s from the Regina zone passed away, as did six people in the 80-and-over group from around the province.
Two of those deaths were in the Regina area, and there was one in each of the far northwest, northwest, north-central and central-east regions.

There have now been 130 deaths in Saskatchewan related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In its daily update, the province confirms that five more people have died after contracting the virus. Three were in the 80-and-over age range, located in the northwest, central east, and Regina zones. Another two deaths were in the 70-to-79 range and occurred in the Regina area as well.
Recoveries outpaced the number of new diagnoses, with 249 people recovering from COVID and 159 new cases reported. There are 3,850 active cases in Saskatchewan with 10,121 people recovered, making for a total of 14,101 since the pandemic began.
