There are many ways to describe a community â landscape, economic drivers, educational, cultural, and outdoor opportunities, and its citizensâ health and well-being. The Kids Hunger Coalition are Helena-area professionals who believe our childrenâs health and access to nutritious food are paramount to our collective well-being.
In 2013 a diverse team of professionals came together to find ways to lessen food security gaps in our community and ensure children do not go hungry. Our mission is to eliminate childhood hunger in Lewis & Clark County. We believe this is a problem we can solve.

EDCO Awards & Specialties, a premium supplier of awards and recognition products, is sponsoring this year’s rendition of School Duel. School Duel is a Florida-based academic quiz series that sees 20 high school teams from Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach counties competing for prizes.
Hosted on BECON-TV, School Duel is heading into its 11th season, having premiered on March 4th. The first episode of the season saw McArthur High School match up with Everglade High School. The show will follow with nine more games, featured during weekly episodes running until May 6th.

About 2 p.m. on Saturday, Scott Durham was nearing the end of the Nat Greene Trail at Lake Brandt Marina when he spotted what he says was either a fox or a small coyote. He was about 100 yards from the marina â so close he could hear people talking in the parking lot.Â
Durham, who was alone, said the animal was gray and weighed around 35 or 40 pounds. It was on the trail about 20 yards in front of me, walking toward me, Durham said. It wasn t showing any signs of aggression. The fur on the back wasn t sticking up. It wasn t baring any teeth. It was walking normally.
