White Castle opened its Orlando Castle with fanfare and a ribbon-cutting at 8 a.m. this morning. The Orlando Castle – the largest free-standing White Castle in the world – marks the brand’s return to Florida since operating four restaurants in Miami in the 1960s.
Located in southwest Orlando at Unicorp’s $1 billion The Village at O-Town West mixed-use development, White Castle has been long-anticipated by “Cravers” throughout the Central Florida region and beyond. This newest Castle has hired 140 team members and managers.

The world’s largest White Castle restaurant opened Monday in Orlando, Florida. The burger chain had plenty of buzz before officially opening its doors.
Videos have circulated on social media showing a lengthy line of customers waiting to experience the 4,567-square-foot restaurant that’s located in The Village at O-Town West. Some camped out overnight so they could be the first in line.
The project to build the largest White Castle was announced in November 2019 and had been slated to open in 2020.
Orlando residents have posted updates on social media throughout the day on how the line stands and many people are confused as to why so many people would be waiting for a meal from the fast-food restaurant.
