DVIDS - News - Nebraska National Guard offering vaccine to eligible family members

8 LINCOLN, Neb. – Eligible family members of Nebraska National Guard Airmen and Soldiers received first doses of a COVID-19 vaccine on a voluntary basis March 6, 2021, at the Air National Guard base in Lincoln. Military healthcare providers from the 155th Medical Group administered the first of two doses to 26 Guardsmen and 68 family members. The Department of Defense recently authorized vaccinations for dependents of service members age 18 or older, subject to local availability of DOD-allocated doses and enrollment in TRICARE, the U.S. military health benefits program. The Nebraska National Guard will continue to receive COVID-19 vaccines through the Department of Defense allocation, and we are now able to offer vaccinations to adult family members enrolled in TRICARE,” said Maj.
