Photo: Rafael Gamito A man suffered a serious head injury and another male was arrested after an alleged assault in Boston on Tuesday evening. The victim, a man in his 40s, was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham after the incident on Red Lion Street. It happened at around 6.15pm on Tuesday, July 28. A police cordon was put in place. Police said an 18-year-old male has been arrested on suspicion of GBH and remains in custody, and he will be questioned in due course.

Vina Mini Market, situated at 110 High Street in Lincoln, had been reported by Lincolnshire Trading Standards earlier in 2020 for selling counterfeit cigarettes. This prompted the landlord to order bailiffs to evict the shop owners, due to using the store for criminal activity. Once the bailiffs had left, the recently evicted shop tenants returned to the store by breaking in and continued to trade illicit tobacco.
